Introduction
This website was created to inform educators of strategies to increase comprehension in K-12 school students. Under the Strategies tab at the top you will find 10 different strategies that you could implement in your classroom to help increase the comprehension levels of your students. Each strategy is defined and the research to back up the theory is presented. There is information explaining how you could implement the specific strategy into a lesson and how the strategy incorporates writing. For those visual and/or auditory learners you also have the option to watch videos that explain the strategy and show it being used in a classroom. Thank you for your commitment to lifelong learning and taking the time to learn some new strategies to implement in your classroom.

“True teachers are those who use themselves as bridges over which they invite their students to cross; then, having facilitated their crossing, joyfully collapse, encouraging them to create their own.”
